At Sarisbury all children have the opportunity to learn French. We believe that learning a new language supports children’s learning in all areas of literacy and helps develop key speaking and listening skills. In learning French, children will acquire a better knowledge of the country, its culture, as well as learn a wide range of vocabulary and phrases needed to hold simple conversations. Our weekly French learning is cross curricular and aims to teach children to read, write and speak French through a variety of songs, games, drama and other activities.
